A Sanctuary in the Emerald Realm

Nestled along the southern edge of the Guizhou Plateau, Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is a richly diverse natural haven, celebrated for its four principal types of geological landscapes: karst formations, varied topographies, bodies of water, and abundant biological diversity. The karst features are further divided into surface and subterranean landscapes—among which Tianzhong Cave represents an underground karst system, while Feiyun Cave is a classic example of a karst cavern.

The region enjoys a mid-subtropical monsoon humid climate, characterized by distinct seasons and synchronized patterns of rainfall and warmth. The scenic area is a harmonious blend of cascading waterfalls, dense forests, crystal-clear rivers, tranquil lakes, and rugged stone formations. Notable natural landmarks include the Laya Waterfall, Xiangshui River, and Mandarin Duck Lake.

With over 92% forest coverage, the air here is exceptionally pure, containing as many as 180,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. Often referred to as a sanctuary for “lung-cleansing and wellness,” Xiaoqikong offers a profound sense of rejuvenation.

The area’s vegetation is predominantly composed of native ecological forests. A cultural highlight is the Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, constructed in the 15th year of the Daoguang Emperor’s reign during the Qing Dynasty. This petite yet graceful seven-arched stone bridge once served as a vital commercial route connecting southern Guizhou to Guangxi. Made from hand-cut limestone, the bridge is now cloaked in ferns and vines, arching gracefully over the jade-green waters of Hanbi Pool, flanked by towering ancient trees.

Steigenberger Icons Libo

Tucked away within the verdant expanse of Libo’s Xiaoqikong Scenic Area—often hailed as an “Emerald on Earth”—Steigenberger Icons Libo offers a serene retreat wrapped in the silk-like embrace of the Zhangjiang River. Here, the unspoiled mountains and mist-veiled waters of Guizhou create a naturally secluded haven—a modern-day Arcadia that invites guests to disconnect from the world and embrace refined seclusion.

This luxury resort features 151 guest rooms and villas, offering a harmonious blend of leisure, business, wellness, and recreation. Whether one seeks a tranquil family retreat, a discreet sanctuary, or an elegant venue for corporate gatherings, the hotel caters to every desire with grace and precision.

All 151 rooms and 6 private pool villas are thoughtfully arranged along the riverbank, each offering sweeping views reminiscent of ink-wash landscapes—where the mountains rise like refined brows and the waters flow with poetic rhythm. Inspired by the “Eight Scenic Wonders of Libo,” the resort’s design pays homage to local heritage while incorporating modern sensibilities. Guests will find subtle nods to ancient marine fossils, bespoke in-room hot spring tubs, and oversized balconies, creating a cultured and distinctive atmosphere.

7 Sense Chinese Restaurant presents a sophisticated menu that spans Huaiyang, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Cantonese cuisines, alongside innovative fusion dishes.

Bela Bela, the all-day dining venue, offers 88 seats with a refined minimalist aesthetic and an expansive terrace—perfect for savoring exquisite dishes while soaking in the surrounding mountain vistas.

Lobby Lounge, with 50 seats, serves an array of premium teas and classic coffees, and features a creative selection of wellness-inspired beverages crafted from local medicinal herbs.

For a truly elevated experience, Hi Tea Yù Chá offers five private tea rooms where guests can indulge in artisanal tea ceremonies and the luxury of quietude. Each session is a celebration of fine tea, graceful rituals, and thoughtful hospitality.
