highlights

Ancient Legacy of Shu Kings

Dedicated to Wangdi (Emperor Wang) and Congdi (Emperor Cong), the legendary rulers of the ancient Shu Kingdom, this serene oasis blends history with nature. The twin mausoleums and surrounding lotus-filled ponds create a reflective atmosphere, while classical pavilions like Daosun Tower (Rice Sprout Tower) and Tingjuan Pavilion (Listening to Cuckoos Pavilion) perch gracefully along the water’s edge.

Sacred Greenery

Over 200 ancient cypress trees, some centuries old, form a verdant canopy around the tombs. Their twisted trunks and evergreen foliage add timeless grandeur to the site, making it a favorite spot for quiet contemplation.

Dragon Boat Festival Revelry

Each June, the temple hosts a massive folk song competition during the Dragon Boat Festival. This lively event draws crowds with traditional music, vibrant costumes, and spirited performances—a rare chance to witness Sichuan’s cultural heritage in full swing.

Architectural Poetry

Stroll across arched stone bridges and through moon gates to discover hidden courtyards and corridors adorned with intricate carvings. The temple’s design harmonizes with its watery landscape, offering photogenic vistas at every turn.venirs.
