Effective June 28th 2025, new enforcement measures concerning portable power banks come into effect. Ensuring your power bank complies is paramount for a seamless passage through security and a comfortable flight. Effective June 28th, passengers are strictly prohibited from carrying power banks aboard aircraft if they:
Belong to a recalled model or batch.
Lack the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark,
Display an unclear or illegible CCC mark

Travelers relying on portable chargers should promptly verify their device’s compliance before heading to the airport. 🔍
✅ Carry-On Only: Power banks must be carried in the passenger cabin, either on your person or within your hand luggage. They are strictly forbidden in checked baggage.
✅ In-Flight Use Prohibited: During the flight, power banks must remain completely switched off and unused. Charging devices mid-air is not permitted.
✅ Energy Limit: The rated energy capacity must not exceed 100 watt-hours (Wh).
✅ Quality & Clarity are Key: Only power banks from reputable manufacturers are permitted. They must bear a clear, visible, and valid CCC mark, be in good condition (undamaged), and meet quality standards. Devices that are damaged, have unclear markings, or exceed 160Wh are banned. Power banks between 100Wh and 160Wh require prior airline approval.
✅ Quantity Restriction: Each passenger is limited to carrying a maximum of two (2) compliant power banks.
